Hi Marcus, thanks for your fast reply. I tried with the --wait-event command as described but still no success. I suppose we need to get to more debugging - happy to send the debug outputs from the commands. Many thanks, Michael. I can set parameters, create exposures etc... which is really great. Settings done in one "--set-config " call are persistent which is great. With the exception of shutterspeed however i cannot read back the values via --get-config I set for things like aperture, iso, etc... The values are either "Auto" or display the lowest possibly value for the choices, i.e. the integer value for the option is 0. If I run an image, all the settings are observed as expected (according to the exif information). I wonder if it is a bug in gphoto2 or a problem in the firmware ? Happy to supply the debug outputs as needed. All the best, Michael. Are you doing --get-config on a seperate command invocation? If yes, can you try e.g. gphoto2 --wait-event=1s --get-config aperture and see if that helps? (The values are fetched by event reading and while get-config does that, it might not wait for long enough.)
