Yes Kodak did have a tether environment for it.

I can see why you would not want to implement Firewire.=C2=A0 The only othe=
r cameras I know of that would likely be tethered are the first generation =
Canon 1D, 1Ds and the Nikon D1's.=C2=A0 It was apparently a pro feature at =
the turn of the century.

There is no support in IEEE1394/Firewire in libgphoto2, so that would be=20
a necessary starting point, with the maintenance burden down the line.
Does it even support Tethering with the vendor software?
