Suggestion for camera, Sony DSC-RX100M6 / Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II class?

I am following this nice project for some time and first of all: nice 
job, this makes cameras really useful! So thanks for this library and 
your support!

Now I would like to purchase a new camera for a drone of mine and would 
like to choose one that I can control as good as possible with 
libgphoto2 (I will write the code myself, not relying on gphoto2).

I am now thinking of the Sony DSC-RX100M6 (maybe M7) since it supports 
more features to be controlled via libgphoto2 then the Canon PowerShot 
G7 X Mark II. At least, that's what I see in the supported cameras list. 
I think of this 'class' of cameras since it seems a good compromise.

Can you please comment on this? Thanks in advance!
