The generic package name is 'curl' but individual distributions tend to use slightly different package names. If you were running Debain all you would need to do is issue the command: $ apt-get install libcurl3 and that would be it! (libcurl3 is Debian's name for a pretty up-to-date curl package). I'm afraid I don't know about Novell Linux Desktop. However, a quick google led me here: http://www.fr.linuxfromscratch.org/view/blfs-1.0/basicnet/curl.html You should be able to install it manually if you follow these instructions. Hope this helps.
