You do have to find the lame encoder yourself. GRIP does not come with a MP3 encoder. -----Original Message----- From: grip-users-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org [mailto:grip-users-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of Reid Vail Sent: Sunday, April 03, 2005 10:20 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Grip-users] Invalid ecoder executable I am running Grip 3.2.0 on a SuSE x64 box (kernel 2.6.8) and am getting this error when I try to rip and MPE encode with LAME: "Invalid encoder executable. Check your encoder config" This config looks fine, but according to the documentation I might normally find Lame in /usr/bin. I don't see it there. So I'm wondering if I have to go get my own version of Lame and compile it into /usr/bin, or maybe the x64 version of Grip doesn't come with encoders included?
