Cannot reconfigure Grip

Using SuSE 9.2.  Using SuSE 9.2 rpm as my source for the program.  I
have tried (as root and as user) to change the "/mnt/cdrom1" to
"/mnt/cdrom" as SuSE 9.2 has "named" my cdrom device.  My guess is, is
that it is a permmissions issue.  Why won't GRIP allow the change?
