Hi Matt

I see one mistake:
"Encoder executable: lame"
should be with the full executable path:
"Encoder executable: /usr/bin/lame"
or wherever it is located ('which lame')

But I am having the same problem with grip-3.3.0-2mdk
and lame-3.96.1-1plf. Both a specified command line
and the "--preset standard" fail and writes the 128b
mp3 file.

By ripping to wav and then encoding at command line,
it works fine: "lame --preset standard testfile.wav
testfile.mp3"

Seems there is some bug or failure in reading the
"Encoder command line" in grip. Anyone else seen this
?

thanks for any help,
Tosmos.
