Inserting accented characters in ID tags

How do I insert, or get Grip to recognise accented characters (ie, the 
French letter 'e' with an acute accent) in ID tags? I was ripping a cd by 
Michael Buble, and his last name should have an acute accent on the 'e'. 
Now, when Grip queried the cd information, the artist's last name was 
displayed with the accent, but then when the tracks were ripped, the file 
name - which I've set to contain the artist's name - showed "Michael Bubl - 
<...>". These tracks were ripped to mp3 format, and I then checked the ID3 
tag and the artist field showed "Michael Bubl??" where the ?? was actually 
some extended-ASCII characters (I just used ?? since I can't enter those 
characters in this email).

Anyway, I hope my explanation made sense, but basically I'm just wondering 
how I can get Grip to recognise and keep the extended-ASCII characters, 
namely the ones with accents. Thanks.
