I've been using grip for quite some time now on Fedora and Gentoo and had a few feature requests build up lately as I re-rip my entire CD collection for a third time into the smaller ogg format: Can you add an option to: a) eject the CD if it's not recognized by CDDB? b) visually cue me when it ejects a disc? My tower sits on the floor and grip runs in the background happily chewing away at my CD collection, but I have to keep looking down at the PC chassis to see if it's ejected a disk yet (once I set grip in the background, i pretty much ignore it all day, it's bulletproof!). If there were some visual indicator that it had ejected something (even just rename the title of the toolbar item so you can peripherally see that something changed), that'd be really cool. As for the CDDB issue, even though I have "start ripping as soon as a CD is inserted" selected, if the disc isn't recognized by CDDB it just sits there. I'd love an option to eject the disc (and thus prompting the visual cue that something has been ejected) so I don't sit here for an hour wondering why the CD is still being worked on. Otherwise, a truly GREAT piece of software, thanks! -id -- Ian Douglas blogs/photos: http://www.thedouglasclan.com/ geek stuff: http://www.w98.us/ ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf
