My current Grip settings for LAME:

-----
Encoder executable:
/usr/bin/lame

Encoder command line:
-V 1 --vbr-new --add-id3v2 --pad-id3v2 --tt %t --ta "%a" --tl %d --ty %y
--tn %n --tg "%G" %w %m

Encode file format:
~/music/%A/[%y] %d/%A - %d - %t - %n.%x
-----

"%w %m" (no quotes) is needed in the command line for the encode to work
correctly. They tell Grip what the infile and outfile are.
