-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 > Thanks Todd. file command returns audio/mpeg on the ripped files. I thought perhaps file might return that based on the filename, but I just renamed one of my oggs to .mp3 and file reported it as ogg. :-/ > So are you saying that my configuration is creating ogg files with > mp3 extensions? I suppose that would explain why they don't play. That was my guess, looking at the command line and extension settings. I don't know now - if file is accurately reporting the file type. If you play the file in XMMS or another player, does that show you MPEG or Ogg? That ought to be more reliable than file, if you want to be sure they're really not oggs in mp3 clothing. - -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xD654075A | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ====================================================================== If God had meant for us to be naked, we would have been born that way. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: When crypto is outlawed bayl bhgynjf jvyy unir cevinpl. iG0EARECAC0FAkPuybcmGGh0dHA6Ly93d3cucG9ib3guY29tL350bXovcGdwL3Rt ei5hc2MACgkQuv+09NZUB1rP0wCgtYu1Vp9sl83AnYhr5JzDHyLIOU0AoN1xlWxb 2eGc/yukAro8aMxRKqfj =BpoH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
