If it helps, here's what I have:

Encoder executable: /usr/bin/lame
Encoder command-line: -V 1 --vbr-new %w %m
Encode file extension: mp3
Encode file format: ~/mp3/%A/%d/%t-%n.mp3

The lame options create a variable bitrate file that averages ~210 kbps.
