Getting freedb lookups with squid

I setup squid on my firewall not to long ago and have noticed
that grip no longer will do lookups anymore. I've set the proxy server
info and grip seems to be trying to do the lookups through the server.
I just never get results on most cds. I tried running grip on a machine
connected directly to the internet with the same configuration (minus the
proxy settings) and I recieve results for all the cds that I can't get to
work through the proxy. Anyone have any ideas?
