Grip crashes just after ripping

Hi there!

Recently I managed to get grip from working. I use Version 3.3.0
compiled via the gentoo-ebuild.

Situation is as follows:
I insert a CD, select the track I want to rip and select Rip and Encode.
a) if I removed the temporary .wav grip starts ripping (the .wav
generated actually sounds ok) and crashes afterwords immediately.
b) if the file .wav is there it instantly crashes.

Can anyone tell me what grip is doing before invoking the encoder (or
while invoking the encoder) so I can try and fix the dependency?

btw: I compiled Grip using gcc 4.1.1 and have selected to run lame after
a normalize-script (both seem to be working)

If you need further information don't hesitate to ask me.

Thanks

Matthias
