I would like to install and use grip on a Kubuntu 6.0.6 Breezy Badger system. It looks better than abcde which I am using presently. Also I really the idea of this mailing list. Since grip is designed for a Gnome system, are there any things I should watch out for? Will it work just as well as on a Gnome system? When changing various settings, are they kept in a human readable and editable text file in something like ~/.grip? I notice it uses built-in versions of paranoia and lame so I ask just how active is the development process? I know abcde has basically stopped development which is one reason I'd like to stop using it. Is it possible to use my own versions of cdparanoia and lame?
