I'm running grip 3.2.0 on Suse 10.2. It is set up to use lame and encode to mp3. My problem is that I rip one disc, grip then ejects the disc, when I insert a new disc the tracks shown are those of the last disc I ripped. So far I've not learned the secret of how to get grip to recognize that there has been a change in the discs. My current suspicion is that it is trying to reach freedb and get the track information. Under config "poll disc drive for new disc" the polling interval is set as 1 second. So if grip is showing the old disc information with a new disc then if I remove the disc and wait a while, several minutes, and then re-insert the disc I may or may not get track numbers. And if not track numbers - which is what I expect - I get the names of the last set of tracks ripped. Eventually freedb answers then I get a correct display of the track names, naturally. So, is there a way to force grip to refresh or recognize a change in the disc? So far the problem result in your having to wait several minutes between ripping and encoding discs. thanks Jonathan Jefferies ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
