album's replaygain

i'm ripping my cds into flac files. as for setting the
album's gain and peak i seem not to be able to do it
'efficiently' from the grip front-end. it seems that i
could add an 'Encode filter command' (metaflac), but
this is executed at the end of _each_ encoded file. i
thought it was possible to have a command to be
executed when _all_ files have been already encoded.
'Encode filter command' would do it but at the same
time it would slow down the whole processes.

any hint on this?
