could not write to wav file

Just ran grip and ripped 10 out of 12 songs to my nokia n810.  It stalled on 
song 10 because of corrupt cd.  I clicked abort ripping only button and it 
took a long time so I killed grip from konsole.  reopened grip and tried to 
rip song 10 again and got (no write access to write wav file). I have checked 
all the permissions and all seems ok with that.  Why would it work right off 
the bat and then not work when restarting the process?
