Without knowing the full details of your hardware this might be a case
where grip does as instructed but the time window is so short you do not
notice the drive open attempt before it tries to closed the drive and
start with the next.

As grip develeopment is dead for some years now so you just have to live
with the fact that it wll not work with these conflicting set of options
enabled.

Feel free to discuss bugs but it seems Mike has abandoned the
developement of grip some years ago allready and no one has stepped in
and taken over. It seems he has shifted his interests to other stuff.

But as far as I can tell it will make no difference to the code.
