Using GRIP to rip .aiff, write .wav

Hi -

I have a few discs with .aiff tracks and want to rip these and output 
them as .wav (or any other more standard format that my local 
(lower-tech) CD players will recognize. 

I believe flac will do this, and I have it loaded and can see that GRIP 
supports it, but I'm not sure how to configure GRIP to execute what I 
want.  Any thoughts would be welcome.
