internet radio problem with splay

Hello,

I built the helix dna client software with the branch hxclient_3_1_0_atlas. The splay works fine with local file (mp3, rm...) But it has 2 problems to play online radio. The command I execute is:

./splay -a -s http://scfire-nyk-aa05.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1014
My machine is a Dell D630 laptop with Ubuntu 8.04. CPU is "Intel Centrino Duo"

Problem 1) From time to time, it may pause for seconds because of downloading. Here is the console output wWhen it paused,
##################### START CONSOLE OUTPUT ##########################
OnPause(91220)

Download progress: (play time=91220, surplus=-10234 milliseconds)
have 112945 of 8333287 msec (1355891 bytes downloaded so far)
# Waiting for more data: Pausing playback.
Should take 10234 milliseconds before playback resumes.
OnPreSeek(91220, 94261)
OnStatisticsChanged():
OnBegin(94261)
Player 0 beginning playback...

Download progress: (play time=91220, surplus=8757 milliseconds)
have 116055 of 8333287 msec (1393215 bytes downloaded so far)
# Data available: Resuming playback
Time surplus is now 8757OnBuffering(3, 0)
OnBuffering(3, 0)
##################### END CONSOLE OUTPUT ##########################

Problem 2) The biggest problem is that it stops playing after couples of minutes. The program is still running but no sound. It repeatably dump "OnBuffering(3, 0)" to the console. In most case, the percentage is 0, sometime, it's 2 or 3. Sometimes, it is even able to output "OnPosLength(...)"
Anyway, there is no sound at all. pause/resume command won't bring it back, only restart cure it.

I suspect it may caused by my build or the old version. So 2 very latest binaries are downloaded and tried. They are
all_clients-helix-20080924-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586
and all_clients-hxclient_3_1_0_atlas-20080929-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586
But it's the samething. short pause and stop after couples of minutes.

I know it's not caused by my network because another player keeps playing the same radio without problem. Couples of different linux machines are tested and they are same. searched the mail list. No answer is found.

Best regards,

Dengyi Wang
