           Summary: de-interlace / inverse telecine manual switch problem
          Severity: TRIAGE
            Status: NEW
 Last changed date: 2004-03-04 10:21:02
          Hardware: x86
           Version: unspecified
           Tracker: Settings Files
           Project: helix-producer
  Target Milestone: Beta

the problem is that the filter's defaults are different from
the code in producer (since the logic is reversed in the filter with
manual instead of auto, it's quite confusing):

Manual = FALSE
InverseTelecine = TRUE (auto)
Deinterlace = TRUE (auto)

Unless we change the filter defaults, I think we may have to change
the producer code. This may be safer, and according to spec. A corresponding
change needs to go
into the job file being created with -cj as well, since this also does
not reflect what is the filter defaults, and options are not set
correctly in either case (job file or command line paremeter)

The filter also needs to be fixed to allow for a Manual->TRUE setting. This
currently is ignored, and settings end up being wrong afterwards.
