Hello-- I am considering including the Helix MP3 decoder within a device and would like to understand more about the impact of the RPSL on other software components. Do you have any guidance on what would be considered a "derivative work" of the decoder for purposes of the open-source obligations of the RPSL? Would any software that interacts with the decoder for the purpose of music playback be considered a derivative work? Would software that supports other non-music functions and features (e.g. visual elements) also be considered a derivative work if such features and functions are made available to the user at the same time as music playback? Any guidance you could provide would be much appreciated. Thank you. _______________________________________________ Open-licensing mailing list [email protected] http://lists.helixcommunity.org/mailman/listinfo/open-licensing
