No, but we really need it. Perhaps if the hotplug.sh script could
be modified to add HAL rules in case we find that it is used on the
machine, else (and only else) resort to hotplug scripts?

Last time I checked HAL was very much oriented around every USB device
being of a standard class (i.e. "this is a mass storage", "this is a
HID device" etc) but had very weak if any support for custom devices
(which is what we handle).

However I remember reading something in the line of being able
to write very complex HAL rules for custom devices but never got any
further with it.

Would be great if you looked into it Martin... SuSE especially needs
this I understand.
