Kudos and addressbook question

Wanted to write and thank the developers of libnjb for having made such a
useful tool for Linux (and I assume Mac?) users.  I am a very happy owner o=
f
a Zen Micro 6Gb player, and have used libnjb for the past 4 months to manag=
e
my MP3 collection between it and an ancient Dell Inspiron Laptop running DS=
L
Linux.  I had problems getting the nice-looking front-end applications to
compile properly in DSL, so I wrote some Perl glue that uses the sample
programs that come with libnjb to do all of the work.  I plan on eventually
tying these into some simple web-based interfaces, but for now the command
line is just fine.  (If anyone else is interested, I'll be happy to post my
horrendous coding in an email to this forum.)  I really appreciate the fact
that this project allows me to use my MP3 player in both Windows and Linux
without resorting to some restrictive, proprietary interface, and hopefully
Creative will see the benefit in allowing this to continue.  I see that wor=
k
is progressing on a next generation version of libnjb that will support MTP=
,
which would be good as it will allow us to upgrade the firmware in our MP3
players to take advantage of new features that Creative may provide in the
future.  (Wouldn't support for the Ogg Vorbis format be great?)  In the
meantime I don't know what I'm missing, so I'll stick to what I know works.

In that vein, I was recently looking for an email address and thought it
would be nice if I could actually use the Contacts and Organizer function
that came with my Zen.  I abhor Outlook, and refuse to use it, even on my
Windows box, so I'm pretty sure it's a feature I can't use.  I've done a
cursory search on the web for an application similar to libnjb which would
provide the same type of read/write access to the Contacts and Organizer
functions, but have come up with negative results so far.  Does anyone know
of work being done to hack this feature and port it to Linux?
