+The most common issues that result in playback problems of Matroska files,
+in order of how common they occur:
+
+1. The Real codec DLLs are not installed on the system, resulting in the
+RealSplitter being unable to output video.
+2. The user has installed the Matroska Full Pack using the "full" setting
+instead of the "standard" setting resulting in the Morgan Stream Switcher
+and Matrix Mixer being installed. Both of these can potentially cause video
+files not to play back on certain system configurations.
+3. The user is using Windows Media Player 7, 8, 9 or 10 to play back their
+files. All Windows Media Player versions after 6.4 are considered broken
+from Microsoft's own standards. Playback of files may work, but certainly
+not optimally. This is not limited to Matroska files.
+4. There is no Matroska Splitter installed. All DirectShow based players
+require a Matroska Splitter to work. Media Player Classic has one built in,
+but it is old and should be disabled in favor of the newer versions.
+
+Solutions:
+1. Install the Real Player. There have been issues reported with the Real
+Alternative pack and the player is non-intrusive now.
+2. Uninstall the Matroska Full Pack and reinstall it using the default
+"standard" option.
+3. Use a different player. Windows Media Player 10 is good for playlists
+and should offer little issue with audio file playback, however it breaks
+things when trying to playback video. Most things that are broken are never
+noticed by users, but that doesn't mean they aren't broken.
+4. Install the Matroska Full Pack with the "standard" option. Just because
+you can install all of the filters doesn't mean you should.
