I dont know if you have come across it in your travels, but there is a program for converting most things to most things called Xilisoft (3GP) video converter (3gp being the version i have... When i put a subbed mkv file into it, it does almost recognise it, like 5.1 sound, sample codec and such like, but messes up on the total time, says something like half a million hours or something..! well, just thought id bring it to light, maybe they'll be willing to work together with you, for turning mkv into avi/divx/rawvideo(etc) for dvd burning and general watchers...?
