Do you mean playback ? Of course you can play them without converting them frist, most Mediaplayers for PCs do have native MKV support these days, or can work with them as soon as the CCCP pack has been installed (for DirectShow based players). Also, thanks to the great Coreplayer most handheld devices (Palm, Mobilephones, etc.) can play MKV fine today. If you are talking about standalone DVD players for your living room, well ...... they are coming soon :-).
