Hello=2C
I have found a workaround for the known issue of playing back Matroska file=
s=2C which contain DTS-HD MA streams and were made with mkvmerge=2C by usin=
g the Haali Matroska Splitter.
The issue is easily solved by entering the DTS Default Duration into the he=
ader editor of mkvmerge. The default duration of DTS frames is 10 2/3 milli=
seconds (or=2C 10666666 nanoseconds=2C as entered into the header editor). =
Entering this value will allow Haali Matroska Splitter to work with all mkv=
's with any DTS stream (normal DTS=2C DTS 96/24=2C and DTS-HD MA have all b=
een tested).
Of course=2C this could be implemented into mkvmerge=2C and I have informed=
 the developer of that software=2C but that does not fix this issue with fi=
les already created by countless users. So=2C I thought that maybe a fix wo=
uld be possible for the Haali splitter=2C if it could "assume" the default =
frame duration when it sees a DTS track=2C and then all files previously cr=
eated would play back normally.
Thank you for listening=2C
