A generic and unlimited system implies a lack of restrictions. Thus if you're approaching the problem from a restrictive point of view (only specify what you can't do) instead of a constructive point of view (specify evert thing you can do) it can be very simple in this case. This is why the vtable thing is starting to make me uncomfortable.
