I read that article about GStreamer today on OSNews. That was quite 
entertaining. The only problem I can see for the moment is portability. 
As long as it doesn't work on Windows and OSX it's not a solution for 
me. But it seems to have all that we already discussed about. At least 
we wouldn't need to recreate the wheel...
