Dude, we're talking C here! Anyway, whatever you wish... It's your precious time. Don't forget that glib has a whole team working on it, not to mention the whole Gnome team. You cannot do this alone, you have to cooperate and you have to accept losing a discussion once in a while, not getting exactly what you want. That's called teamwork, and it's not a bad thing at all. If you say that "they don't understand", I think you have an extremely bad attitude towards others and you don't know what kind of brilliant people are working on it.
