One step after another.

We've meet here to develop a clean and flexible API for a/v-codecs, which 
can be used by many projects on video processing, editing and playback.
For this we could learn a lot from mplayer-g2 (you should all subscribe
to this list and read the archives - its quite interesting, because these
folks have already done quite much in this direction)

All the other stuff (internals of a editing application, GUIs, ...)
are fairly offtopic, but perhaps nice-to-talk-about.

I personally would put step 2 on top, since its that what's conceptionally
laying under all those projects. We should first concentrate on the
API, so many projects can benefit from it and codecs don't have to be 
implemented again and again.

The media-api should become a standalone-project and develop something
like a libmmapi library w/ loadable codec-libs.
