I quite agree. If an established group with a strong following can run this way, it doesn't necessarily mean a new, unheard of group can do the same. Einstuerzende Neubauten have actually asked visitors to become paid web site members to fund the next album; this will be available in both web edition (to be sent out to those who've paid on the site) and as a regular album (probably on Mute Records), so Neubauten still have a lifeline of sorts. It will be interesting to see how, if at all, they combine it with Ogg/MP3 releases. > I think Blixa Bargeld plays with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds as well. Yes, Das Bargeld has performed with Nick Cave for almost twenty years; though he recently departed the Bad Seeds to concentrate more on Neubauten and his film/theatre work.
