Electronic Program Guide

I'd like to know if there is planned anywhere (not necessarily within Xiph.org) to make a standard web-service xml schema, that would allow for an EPG (Electronic Program Guide) that would work in any client, and could be provided by streaming radio (and maybe tv as well).
That would be a big boost for Ogg as an alternative available to high quality content providers, even though it would in fact work regardless of the media format being used.
