Mr Maxwell, You are on the wrong list. You should have posted this on theora-dev and/or vorbis-dev. Your request of being contacted privately is lame. Anyhow, Tor-Einar Jarnbjo (tor-einar [at] jarnbjo [dot] name) is the only one known to have tried an ActionScript parser for Vorbis and Theora, but with no success. After all, a scripting language is not appropriate at all for this kind of work. Adobe developers on Xiph lists have seemly passed the message that there was interest in seeing Theora and Vorbis support in Flash, but with no success, either, it seems. No one more than us want to see Flash players being able to work with Vorbis and Theora. And Speex, too. We cannot however force corporations to follow our bidding. It is possible that the <video> and <audio> elements of HTML 5 will change the situation and make it easy for anyone to distribute Vorbis and Theora content, as if they were merely displaying JPEG images. -Ivo
