    Hi, my name is Alberto. I've been watching this list for a while and I'd
like to know whats your feeling about wavelet compression techniques.
    It seems that wavelets have been around for quite a while but DCT based
compression schemes are still the most common out there. Have you considered to
use some kind of DCT based system? Are there more patent problems with DCTs?
