Well, It seems I have messed something up.  If I use the venus cubes ppm
files, everything seems to work fine.  If I push them through ppm2y4m to
create a YU4MPEG2 file, then try to encode that it does not work properly.
I must not have done the YUV conversions properly.  I will get back on
that tomorrow and see if I can figure out what I did wrong.
