I've not heard anything that's not in press-release-speak,  but I 
imagine Monty volunteered to do the code cleanup. The VP3 code needs 
some 'deoptimization' before it's portable enough for our purposes. 
After than ogg encapsulation will be straightforward. If you want to 
help, jump right in.

Spec extraction would be another important task, unless the BSD release 
includes such documentation.
