The important point to take from this is that this was expected by the
ones that released it and worked on, including the folks at Xiph, so
steps are being taken to ensure that such claims are, in fact,
baseless.  In fact, much work has presumably been done already on this
front.

The fact that a statement about a patent pool being assembled is made is
nothing to worry about.  It becomes real when they actually take someone
to court over it.  Everything up to that point is FUD and marketing.

It's all talk until something actually happens.
