Dear colleagues,

My name is Masami Kikuchi (Mr), an independent Japanese developer/producer
of live and interactive cultural programmes for distance education and
community empowerment, using the-state-of-the-art videoconferencing systems,
in and from Japan.
As my first production in 2005, I will organize an online performing art
show of "kalavinka" (heavenly birds' dance) to be performed in Tokyo, Japan,
and to be tele-performed in Beijing, PRC, on Saturday, 20th January, 2005.

"Kalavinka" is painted on the wall of Dunhuang caves, and is thought to be
the extinct or imaginary dance, but is preserved alive in Japan as one of
the Gagaku pieces, the court and ritual performing art of Japan.

This time, to celebrate the year of rooster (or birds, in Japan), and also
to commemorate the encounter of Dunhuang expert lady professor Wang Ke-fen,
and the Gagaku Master Mita Noriaki, I have decided to realize the
tele-performance show of this wonder in history, using the state-of-the-art
Polycom iPower at the venue in Tokyo, and Polycom VSX7000 at the venue in
Beijing, in cooperation and collaboration with Polycom Japan and Polycom
Beijing.

Those who are lucky in the presence in the area, are cordially invited to
experience this wonder in history with the wonder in technology.
