can't load compiled extrernals in the same folder anymore

Hi, I'm having a really weird issue. Out of the blue, my Pd stopped loading
compiled externals that are in the same folder of the patch. If I move it
to the 'else' folder in the ~/pd/externals folder, it works. Crazy, huh?
Worst of all, I don't get any meaningful error besides the 'couldn't
create' error. I am able to load abstractions though.

I tried deleting everything Pd related and reinstall, no luck... I'm on an
arm mac, Sonoma.

When trying to load a compiled [compand~] object and a [testabs] that are
on the same folder, I get this verbose output. Who can save me?
