Perhaps you have an issue with your Internet bandwidth or something 
specific to macOS.
I just downloaded thru Deken / Pd 0.55.1 your new Else v.1.0-0 rc-12 
released September 23rd 2024 (170 MB unzipped for 2662 elements) and it 
took less than "10 seconds" for opening automatically the readme file.
Done under Linux Mint 22 (Ubuntu 24.04) / HP ProBook 470 G2 (10 years 
old) / Intel i5-4210U (4) @ 2.700GHz.
