Dear all,

We are excited to announce the SMC Summer School, taking place from July 
7 to 9, 2025, in Graz, Austria:

The auditory gardener : creating Ambisonic landscapes

Join us for a three-day summer school that introduces you to Ambisonics 
in both theory and practice, and allows you to realize a 3D audio 
project in one of the following fields: electronic music, sound design 
in the context of sleep research, sonification of particle compositions 
of Graz’ air, storytelling for audio stories, or spatial music production.
You will work in teams, and present your project at Dom im Berg. The 
program includes theoretical lessons, hands-on exercises using free 
software, DIY hardware presentation, feedback and support of your 
project, the presentation, as well as three lunches and five coffee breaks.

Registration fees are €100 for early bird registration and €120 after 
June 5th.

The summer school is organized by the Institute of Electronic Music and 
Acoustics (IEM) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. For
