[pix_zoom] $2: argument number out of range

Hi list, trying to use [pix_zoom] sending it a list of two floats into its right inlet as suggested by its help patch. The object throws $2: argument number out of range for no matter what number. How could I make better sense of that help patch and get the object to work? Thanks for all ideas!
