that is a good idea, but what about to disable the complete gui interaction for a scalar when necessary? maybe too complex to define individual interaction details, or this conflicts with the cases you mentioned? If yes, then could make sense to disable text input, and add an extra case to disable x/y/etc. graphic editing. Am Sa., 14.
