libcdread error

Hi List,

I hope this is an appropriate place to ask this question, but after much
digging around, I'm still at a lose.

I'm running a (somewhat) stock RH9 with xxms 1.2.8 and I'm trying to
install any version of libcdread that will work. My last attempt was
with xmms-cdread-0.14a but with every version, I get the same error when
I launch xmms:

[derek@dschaible-ops xmms-1.2.8]# xmms &
[1] 23224
[derek@dschaible-ops xmms-1.2.8]# /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libcdread.so:
undefined symbol: playlist_generate_shuffle_list

xmms plays fine, cd's sound fine too, but I have no visuals for cd's and
no cddb support.

I tried this fix from http://www.xmms.org/comments.php?show=P66

xmms-1.2.5-pre1
mld - May 18, 2001
in playlist.c remove the "static" before PlaylistEntry
*playlist_position; and recompile your xmms and it should work agai.
Although, imo, there should be better a fix for the plugin, than this
patch
xmms-1.2.5-pre1 (part2 ;)
mld - May 18, 2001
*Ooops* sorry forgot to mention. The playlist.c is in the
xmms-1.2.5-pre1 distribution in the xmms subdir.

Made the change, recompiled xmms and cdread, but no effect, same result.
Any ideas?

Thanks!
