problems compiling xmms

dear all,

i tried to compile xmms-1.2.8 on SuSE 8.0, kernel 2.4.18 and got the
following error message:

any ideas about how to solve this problem are welcome. it looks like there
is a problem with the alsa that is installed on my machine.
