Privacy concerns just like MS WMP

I shared my workaround (using my own downloaded copy of FreeDB) to this
old issue, as it seems just as relevant now. The original poster
referred to "MS WMP", which I believe means WinAmp, but the issue is
valid for all Internet client/server transaction trails, especially with
correlating logins like CDDBp. Hope my suggestion helped somebody use
the liberating features of XMMS without authentication constraints.
