Wishlist item: titles when streaming

-- XMMS does a great job of streaming off this site, just like WinAmp.
But in WinAmp, the rolling song title in the main window changes when
the song changes. I like that a lot, because I get to know the names and
artists of oldies I liked but never knew anything about. In XMMS, the
title stays the same forever ("1. CLUB 977 The 80s Channel (HIGH
BANDWIDTH)").
This is related to another quirk -- when you move the playing song
around in the playlist, the position number in the main window doesn't
change. Again, unlike WinAmp.
If I wanted to tackle this problem myself, what sources should I be
looking at?
